We prefer someone with at least 5 years of experience in mental health with some knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions. Must have availability to travel to understand academic and psychological testing as well as educational testing. Prefer LCSW or LMFT who can provide a clear explanation of the testing to families and educators. Able to travel and attend conferences and workshops, flexibility to a working schedule and availability. Strong writing and reading and assessment skills. Background in neuro-psych preferred. Position Summary:
The Educational Consultant provides expert guidance to students, families, and educational institutions to improve academic outcomes, enhance program effectiveness, and support informed decision-making. This role involves assessing educational needs, developing tailored strategies, and offering professional insight into curriculum design, student placement, college readiness, and institutional improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise students and families on academic planning, college admissions, and career pathways.
Collaborate with schools, colleges, and community organizations to improve educational programs and outcomes.
Evaluate curricula, instructional materials, and educational technology for effectiveness and alignment with learning goals.

Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree or higher in Education, Counseling, Educational Leadership, or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in education, counseling, administration, or consulting.
Proven ability to analyze and improve academic programs or institutional strategies.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of current educational trends, college admissions processes, and student support systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with HBCU networks and diversity initiatives (if relevant).
Experience in data analysis and educational assessment tools.
Knowledge of online learning platforms and digital education technologies.

Position Summary
The Educational Consultant – HBCU Partnerships will serve as a key advisor and liaison between the organization and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This role focuses on strengthening academic programs, supporting student success initiatives, and developing strategic collaborations that enhance institutional growth, access, and equity in higher education.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development:
Build and maintain strong relationships with HBCU administrators, faculty, and student support services to identify institutional needs and collaborative opportunities.
Program Design & Implementation:
Assist HBCUs in designing, evaluating, and improving academic and co-curricular programs, including college readiness, career pathways, and student retention initiatives.
Advising & Consultation:
Provide expert guidance on strategic planning, accreditation, curriculum development, and data-driven decision-making to support institutional goals.
Student Success & Access Initiatives:
Support outreach and mentoring programs that increase college access, persistence, and graduation rates among underrepresented student populations.
Grant & Resource Development:
Collaborate with institutional leaders to identify funding opportunities, assist with proposal writing, and develop partnerships with corporations and foundations.
Training & Professional Development:
Facilitate workshops and training for faculty, staff, and administrators on topics such as student engagement, diversity, and instructional innovation.
Data & Reporting:
Analyze educational outcomes and provide actionable insights through comprehensive reports and presentations.
Qualifications
Master’s degree (Doctorate preferred) in Education, Higher Education Administration, or related field.
5 years of experience in educational consulting, higher education administration, or program development.
Demonstrated knowledge of the mission, culture, and challenges of HBCUs.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
Experience with grant writing, data analysis, and outcome assessment preferred.
Willingness to travel regionally or nationally to partner campuses.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with federal programs (TRIO, Title III, etc.) and student success initiatives.
Experience leading or supporting DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) projects.
Ability to design scalable solutions for institutional effectiveness and innovation.
