Our Brief Discussion With Parent(s)
Much of our discussion with parents, has to do with finding the "right school or program". This may include: addressing your child academic or emotional growth challenges before any final decision is made. Fnding the "right school or program" is a process. We will work with you to help understand the schools and the right decision of hiring us to help you. This can only be accomplished by working together in the entire process not missing steps in working with our consultant.
In cases of special needs students or boarding schools, we pay close attention to working with families individually, handling each situation on a case by case basis and reviewing the programs and your needs together. In most cases we start by contacting the home school or district and the family. This also include: reviewing past and current grades and any problem areas, as well as a student after leaving a program.
Many parents concerned about these challenges will find their child maybe a student failing or falling behind in grade level, are in great need of our help in connecting the dots. We usually ask parents to provide information to enable us to develop a plan to help the behavioral challenges or the academic needs of the student, including: developing a plan of care in the placement setting, and the students follow up program.
When learning differences or challenges arise, we offer guidance and support to the famlies we serve. This allows us, to determine whether the student is making progress or developing a different direction for sucess. This keeps us informed and it keeps parents aware during entire time of the placement.
We have weekly progress updates via phone or email and we also conference call with the schools, sharing this information keeping you up to date. The competitive edge allows students to see their own progress and let's parents see the progress being made too! So it is important we work with you to make this happen.
Clarifying Payment Options To Parents:
-
A retainer fee is requested by the parent(s) described in our agreement The fee includes a ($1,500.00) one thousand five hundred dollar non refunable deposit. is to be paid at the time of being retained. This fee is a retainer for the cost of the placement and the balance is due at the time of the placement. The fee covers any intial cost by the consultant described in the agreement.
-
Domestic Student Placement: ($4,500,00) four thousand five hundred dollar fee is required. This fee is requested at the time of placement and the retainer fee will be deducted from the total amount according to the agreement by the consultant.
-
All payments must be made within ( 10 days ) after the placement. Expenses can be itemized or “spelled out” at the request of the parent. An invoice will be provided and sent or emailed to the client. Additionally, will discuss any charges before signing our agrement.
-
Additionally, any separate expenses from the consultant fees will be discussed before enteirng into the agreement, which includes tuition and any other fees.
-
International student placement fees. ($5, 500.00) five thousand five hundred dollars. All payments must be made in US currency with the current exchange rate factored in before services are rendered. No retainer is accepted by the consultant for international placement, unless they reside in the United States and are citizens. All fees must be paid up front to the consultant in either bank draft or credit card.
-
Illegal representation by a parent or student is a breach or contract.
-
Each international student when given a visa status from a school has tuition fees that are seperate from the consultants fees, along with any host famiily fees in the case of international students.
-
In some cases our fees end up being less than tuition of a student living out of state in the case of college placement. The financial needs of an international students are based on sponsorship or payment by a parent or relative, which is discussed with our consultant prior to the agreement.
-
Fees are normally determined by each consultant, but our fees are only for placement and follow up not for tuition. Many placmemnts can take anywhere from 6 months to a over a year, not including following the student throughout the entire time they are in the country.
-
This process needs to be clear to families from countries like China and Korea where the consultants may different from "an agent."
-
We do not function like agents, but abide by the standards of practice of consultancy practices.
-
Students who have special needs likewise, takes a great length of time and some follow-up may take months after the student is discharged from a program or semester. This is why parents need to understand the investment made by the consultant.
-
Not all placements have sucess, but the consutant working with the family will address this challenge. This includes our fees when a school or program is not working. In our case, unless the cost is greater for our consultants fees there will not be, additional fees. The exception is, if the cost it higher, than our fees or the request is larger than the established fees.
-
